Piano Studies
Like the entire Music Program at Emory, the Piano Studies program offers the highest quality musical training similar to a Conservatory or School of Music, but within a liberal arts setting. Open to pianists from across the campus, students have numerous opportunities in both solo and collaborative performance.
Private study is available with one of our excellent piano faculty and a Collaborative Piano class is offered each semester. Students perform solo works on recitals every year, in chamber music ensembles with strings and winds, 2-piano and 4-hand collaborative piano works, duo repertoire with instrumentalists and singers, and have the choice to play a solo recital in the junior or senior years.
The annual Concerto Competition provides an opportunity to perform with the University Symphony Orchestra. All levels of interest and experience are welcome to participate in Music at Emory.
