Magdalena Shumanova is an accomplished pianist and music educator based in Atlanta, Georgia. With a Master's degree in Collaborative Piano from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from Florida State University, she has honed her skills under the guidance of renowned professors such as Prof. Timothy Bach and Dr. Carolyn Bridger.
Magdalena's professional journey is marked by a rich blend of teaching and performing. She currently serves as the Academic Programs Coordinator and Piano Artist Affiliate at Emory University, where she manages academic programs in the Department of Music, accompanies instrumental and vocal performances, and provides vocal coaching. Additionally, she holds the position of Collaborative Pianist at the University of West Georgia, supporting various music departments through her collaborative piano work.
Her previous roles include a decade-long tenure as Music and Vocal Director at Musical Theatre Works in San Francisco, where she directed numerous full-scale productions and summer programs, enhancing the musical and theatrical skills of her students. Magdalena also managed administrative duties and program development, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the organization.
