Auditions for Current Emory Students
- Emory Ensembles and Private Lessons are open by audition to all students, majors and non-majors, for academic credit.
- For Ensembles, Private Lessons, and acceptance to the Music Major, students audition IN PERSON at the beginning of every semester.
- See below for information specific to ensembles and instrument areas, and for the link to sign up for an audition.
- If you are signing up to audition for more than one ensemble (i.e. Instrumental and Jazz, or Choir and Jazz), you will need to use a different email address for each.

Instrumental Ensembles
- Ensembles include: University Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Ensembles, Wind Ensemble, and Sound Collective
- Sign up via eAudition.
- Audition requirements:
- 2 - 3 contrasting works (lyrical and technical) OR a single piece with contrasting sections.
- Acceptable works are from the standard solo, orchestral, and etude repertoire.
- Limited to 6 minutes total.

Instrumental Lessons (strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion)

Two contrasting excerpts (one lyrical and one technical). Scales and sightreading.
