Prospective Student Auditions

Admissions to Emory University are administered by the Office of Undergraduate Admission. While live auditions are not required for regular admission to Emory, they are required for Music Merit Scholarship consideration. On this page, prospective students will find information on both the Music Merit Scholarship Auditions and Supplemental Recordings.

Music Merit Scholarship Auditions

  • Auditions for scholarships is a separate process from supplemental recordings submissions.
  • Only prescreened applicants will be invited to audition for music merit scholarships.
  • Each area has their own prescreening requirements. Contact your area directly using the appropriate email address provided below.
  • Live Auditions ARE required to be considered for Merit Scholarships in Performance (Music Woodruff Awards, Music Liberal Arts Scholarships). More information can be found on the Scholarship page.
  • Scroll down for links to audition requirements by area and contact information for Area Coordinators.

Supplemental Recordings

  • Only Emory applicants who receive an invitation from the Office of Undergraduate Admission (OUA) to submit a supplemental recording may do so. This invitation will come from the OUA via email after a prospective student submits their application for admission to Emory. This email invitation will contain detailed instructions on how to submit recordings.
  • Please be sure to send only solo video recordings. Please do not send large ensemble recordings (chamber music recordings are acceptable).
  • To ensure timely review of supplemental recordings, students should not send supplemental recordings until asked to do so via email.
  • Important: please set your sharing permissions to “public” or “anyone with the link” so your video is viewable.

Prescreening and Supplement Requirements can be found for each area below:
