Grammy-nominated soprano Georgia Jarman is internationally recognized for her vocal agility, expressive artistry, and commanding stage presence. A graduate of Boston University (B.M.) and the Manhattan School of Music (M.M.), she has appeared in leading roles with the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Opéra National de Bordeaux, the Santa Fe Opera, and the Atlanta Opera, among others. She is also a passionate interpreter of the symphonic repertoire, frequently appearing with major orchestras in the United States and abroad, including the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Japan, a European tour with the acclaimed Mahler Chamber Orchestra, several appearances at the Philharmonie de Paris, as well as performances with the Berlin Philharmonic, at the BBC Proms, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Venice Biennale, and David Geffen Hall, along with many major American orchestras. Jarman has been a frequent guest soloist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, appearing as Musetta on its recording of La Bohème.

Jarman is known as a versatile performer, beginning her career with an emphasis on neglected bel canto works and the traditional bel canto style and technique, later branching out into a celebrated career in contemporary opera. Her breakthrough role at Covent Garden was Roxana in Szymanowski’s Król Roger; she later returned to the house to sing Agnès in George Benjamin’s contemporary opera Written on Skin, a role she has reprised with numerous opera companies and symphony orchestras around the world.

Dedicated to cultivating artistry and confidence in young singers, Jarman fosters a supportive environment for developing musicians. Her career of over 25 years informs her teaching, where she emphasizes healthy technique, stylistic versatility, and authentic expressive communication.
