Composition Studios
The Burlington Road Building (BRB), which houses most of the Department of Music's classes, boasts a group of composition studios available for use by students taking composition classes.
Electronic Music Studio
BRB 321
Workstation with extensive collection of software (DAWs, plugins), multichannel audio interface, microphones, keyboard controller, theremin. Good for production, mixing, and small group recording including stereo and multichannel.
Vocal Booth
BRB 315
Simplified version of the setup in 321, with less software (plugins/virtual instruments). Good for solo recording.
Analog Booth
BRB 316
Contains a live electronic kit (audio interface, small keyboard controller, dynamic, mic, cables), synthesizers, guitar pedals.
Piano and Mixing Studio
BRB 225
Similar workstation to BRB 321, with less software (plugins, virtual instruments). Good for mixing and recording two or three people. An upright piano also included.
