Commencement 2025 Speaker: Usher
Grammy Award-winning performer and philanthropist Usher Raymond IV will deliver the keynote address at Emory University’s 180th Commencement, scheduled for Monday, May 12, on the Emory Quadrangle.

Cherished memories and life-long skillsStudying music at Emory has greatly enriched my college life. It has taught me valuable skills such as time management and self-discipline. Through music, I have made wonderful friends and built close relationships with professors. It has also been a privilege to play the magnificent organ in the Emerson Concert Hall, an experience I deeply cherish.
