Randy HunterArtist Affiliate: Jazz Woodwinds

About

Randy Hunter is a professional saxophonist, educational author, and private music instructor from Marietta, Georgia. Randy studied music education with an emphasis in jazz pedagogy at Valdosta State College.

With a focus on generating educational jazz material, Randy Hunter's endeavors are represented by his series of etude, duet, and combo method books under the title, "Complete Jazz Styles." Books from this series have received endorsements from a number of well-known jazz artists including Joe Lovano, Jerry Bergonzi, Randy Brecker, Bobby Shew, and John Fedchock.

Hunter has also created a substantial amount of jazz improvisation oriented instructional material in multi-media format. This work includes several eBooks for iPad.

Hunter teaches jazz saxophone and is the assistant director of the Emory Big Band. He also composed music for the Emory Jazz Saxophone Quintet-which was featured at the 2013 Jazz Education Network National Conference.
