Graduate Program

Prospective Students

Message to Prospective Students
from the Director of Graduate Studies

The Department of Music offers two graduate degrees, a Master of Music (MM) and a Master of Sacred Music (MSM). Both programs offer concentrations in choral conducting and organ performance. Our MM students receive intensive training in their chosen area of performance and complete rigorous academic work in the areas of music history and theory. Students in the MSM program take additional coursework at Emory's Candler School of Theology. In both programs, our students acquire skills and experience that will prepare them for careers in church music, performance, and teaching, or for continued graduate study on the doctoral level. All students admitted to graduate study are fully funded with tuition waivers and fellowships.
