CONGRATULATIONS! to all students who participated in the string auditions for the 2008-2009 Season. Competition was again extremely high and we were fortunate to be able to select from a notable and gifted pool of over 150 string musicians.
Strings are listed in alphabetical order; provisional seating for the first concert will be available at Wednesday's rehearsal. All members have the opportunity to play a seating audition in the Spring allowing for potential adjustment within the section and in the case of violins, between sections. The Spring seating audition is not an entrance audition; all students are accepted in the Fall for the entire season.
Students must confirm the acceptance of their place in EYSO via email or telephone by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15. Alternates (not listed) will be offered any available positions via telephone immediately following that deadline.

As a reminder: the first rehearsal of the season is Wednesday, September 17 at the usual time of 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Rehearsal Hall. Students should enter the Schwartz Center from the campus side of the building opposite the Business School, and not through the front lobby where they registered for auditions. Please plan on arriving 15-20 minutes early in order to facilitate seating and distribution of folders and music. Free parking is available in the Fishburne Parking Deck next to the Schwartz Center.
The comprehensive tuition fee of just $250 for the year is due by the second rehearsal on Wednesday, September 24th. Students may bring checks made payable to EYSO to either the first or second rehearsal.
